Lord Canning (1856 - 1858)

From 28 February 1856 following the Lord Dalhousie by the Lord Canning continue until 1 November 1858, the British East India Inc. He served as chief governor.

In the period from 25 July 1856 enacted marumanac widow. Founded the first Indian University (January-September 1857). 10 May 1857 until 20 June 1858 held Vellore Mutiny.

Moreover, after the liquidation of the British East India Company's rule in India Company at the end of 1858 began to reign the British Empire in India.
